Happy Birthday to me! Hehe.. I'm turning 29. The worst thing about this is
that next year I'll be 30. Not because I'm afraid of feeling old.. It's just
that I have been known to be a little, shall we say, cruel to my friends as
they reaach the landmark ages. I'm terrbly afraid that next year will be an
opportunity for revenge.

This year, my bestest bud threw me a little early morning party. The party
was complete with baloons, homemade cake, and even guests. What more could a
girl ask for. I still have the birthday prezzies from the SO to look forward
to tonight. Life is good!

It turns out that I have a bit of a hick in me.

I spent my weekend in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with a few folks I know
and lots that I don't. It wasn't long before I was wearing camouflage, riding
4-wheelers, and looking through magazines of hunting and fishing gear. If not
for an accident of birth..

Of course, as Mike pointed out, I ruined my tough country gal act by squealing
every time I found a tick crawling on me.

Well, the weekend is rapildy approaching and it's time to make plans.

In honor of our wonderful Missouri weather, Kate and I are going to see "Singing
in the Rain" at the Missouri Theater tomorrow night. Hopefully the audience
will know all of the words and sing along. It is so cool to go see that film
in an old movie palace. Not to mention that I've been in love with Gene Kelly
since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Although not as dreamy as Paul Newman
or Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly is certainly up there in my list of top 10 leading
men.
